My little sister Molly passed away before living her entire season. Molly In The Sky was my way to turn her loss and her absence into her beautiful presence through flowers that remind us how ephemeral and beautifully imperfect life is.
The Japanese have a term for it - Wabi-Sabi. The appreciation of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.”
Arranging flowers is a distinctly emotional experience because they create more than a view of beauty - they create the feeling of one. It’s the feelings I pour into my designs that create experiences that surpass visual beauty and reach directly into the ephemeral soul.

An incredible setting allowed the featured florals be more modest and standing out because of it. Held during the winter solstice with a modern, simple triangle arch set above a classic Moroccan carpet. All of this beneath an ancient tree dripping with spanish moss.
